The board members of the CL2-CE RMO met October 27, 2017 at the home of Carl and Barbara Mounts. Present were president Carl Mounts, treasurer Kenny Thrower and secretary Pat Thrower. Absent was vice president Steve Hanchey. Other attending were Barbara Mounts, Jeff and Sue Conerly and Anita Holder.
Barbara handed out the Profit and Loss statement. Income was 22,300, and expenses were 19871.61. The balance on hand is 2428.39.
Jeff said that with the next billing, a letter should be inserted with the statements to encourage property owners to pay and to ask for members for the road committee. Carl said that he planned to deliver letters to those he can before the next meeting. New statements will be going out around the middle of November.
New Business
Kenny and Pat informed those in attendance that they will be moving and resigning their positions as treasurer and secretary. Sue made a motion to appoint Anita Holder to temporarily fill the position of secretary and treasurer until the general meeting in January, 2018. Jeff seconded and all were in favor. Anita graciously accepted.
Kenny made a motion to amend the Bylaws to merge the position of secretary and treasurer. Carl seconded and all were in favor.
Other Business
Jeff and Sue reported that they spoke with the DOT Division Engineer and Dot Traffic Management about projected traffic growth. They were told that in 2010, Hwy 210 had 11,000 vehicles per day and projected to have 27,000 in 2035. Also, Batts Road had 1800 per day in 2010 and projected to have 3400 per day in 2035. He will continue to look at the projected growth. He said he has sent a letter to Senator Rabon still seeking help for our roads.
Jeff reported there has been a cumulative total of 42,000 visitors to our website.
Being no further business, Jeff made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Barbara.
