The non-residential traffic continues to grow and to be a major issue for property owners using their property and the increased maintenance it requires.
Since neither NC DOT nor our elected officials have been able to work with us to solve the problem the property owners have agreed to close the “short cut” on high traffic days. For closure days:
>Signs are posted on each entrance at Hwy 210 and at Drift Wood ave.
>Notices sent to EMS, Fire, USPS, Sheriff, Police, FedEx, UPS
The dates for closure in 2018 are posted below:
Easter closure: noon March 30 and reopened noon April 1
Memorial Day closure: noon May 25 and May 26. Reopened noon May 27.
July 4 closure1: noon June 29 and reopened noon July 1
July 4 closure 2: noon July 6 and reopened noon July 8
